The end of August in the Tri-Cities always means Fair Time is here. This year Grady was a little too young to go so Nana Buzz Buzz (this is what Gavin calls Grandma Gail) stayed at our home with Grady while the rest of the boys and I went to the fairgrounds. Jacob is now 13 years old so we figured it was a good time for him to invite a friend and let them brave the carnival on their own. Jacob brought his best friend, Eddie, and they had a blast. They purchased arm bands so they could ride all the rides as often as they wanted. We later learned that Eddie had never been to the fair before so it was an extra special time for him.

Garrett and I took Gavin over to the little kid carnival section and soon found that most rides are still a bit mature for him. He will be 2 in October so next year should be better for him as far as the rides go. Mommy and Daddy rode the Merry-Go-Round with Gavin countless times and he squealed and smiled as the horse went up and down. Daddy also rode the ride that looks like hot air balloons but didn't realize when he sat down in the seat that the side he chose meant they would be going BACKWARDS. This made daddy a tad bit dizzy. ha-ha Gavin, however, seemed to be just fine!
After walking around and seeing the animals, riding rides, snacking and looking at the shops, we decided it was time to purchase our Elephant Ears, find the bigger boys at the carnival and head home. Gavin was completely exhausted by this point. It was a very nice day!
