Summer, Summer, Summer Time!!!

What does summer time mean at our house? Well, more photo opportunities with the boys of course! :)
With the heat of August here, the boys are loving getting wet in their pool. A couple boats and a handful of measuring cups and they have a blast!
I just sit by the pool and snap photo after photo in hopes of capturing a few good shots!
Poor boys must get tired of hearing "look at mommy and smile" or "say cheese".

Grady was enjoying pouring water from one measuring cup to another.. or.. over his brother's head seemed to be fun too!
It's a good thing Gavin doesn't mind.
Grady on the other hand has no appreciation for being splashed, squirted or having water dumped over his head.

What a silly boy Gavin is... peeking at mommy over the side of the pool! Of course I'm sure mommy looked silly laying on the grass in all sorts of positions taking pictures.

Little Grady, or as I like to call him "Love Bug", putting up with yet another photo taken by mom! I love this picture!

Lake Chelan , July 2010

Thanks to Dr. Temple who let us use his condo, we were able to take a trip up to Lake Chelan with Grandma and Grandpa. It was so beautiful and relaxing up there. It was nice to get away from the house and have a couple days enjoying the outdoors with all the boys.
Grandma Cindy planned ahead for an exciting treasure hunt for the boys! Grandma had found the pirates treasure map and helped to lead the group to find the buried treasure chest.

The quest to find the buried treasure started with daddy and grandpa stopping to take a good look at the map and helping Gavin figure out which way to go. Then Grandma Cindy lead the way down to the beach to find where the treasure had been buried.

Once we found the "X" in the sand, Gavin began to dig to see what he could find. It didn't take long before he thought he saw something. Dig Gavin, Dig!

What treasures did we find beneath the sand? A beautiful golden chest full of the all the goodies a 2 year old and 3 year old dream of.
Cars, Truck and Lollipops.. OH MY! The boys were in heaven when they saw what marvels the chest contained.

We continued the day with sand castle building, exploration, dipping our toes in the water and endless bounds of treats.

Even big brother, Jacob, had a great time exploring, swinging, star gazing, swimming and playing cards with Mom and Cindy! He didn't want to leave so soon but had to get back to his driver's ed.
We had a great time, took some nice pictures and will have some great memories of the trip. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for having us!
